Rather predictable result in Tucuman where tenth ranked Mitre Tuc. (12-12) smashed 13th ranked Echague (10-15) 91-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mitre Tuc. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Mitre Tuc. had a 34-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Mitre Tuc. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Echague's players. Pablo Osores (194-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Five Mitre Tuc. players scored in double figures. Mitre Tuc.'s coach Gabriel Albornoz felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Jamell Cornley (196-87, college: Penn St.) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Sebastian Cabello (202-82) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Mitre Tuc. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place in North. Loser Echague dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Mitre Tuc. will have a break next round. Echague will play at home against BHY Tiro Federal (#5) and hope to win that game.
