Regular Season Round 18: ADBA - Ascensores Tresa 61-66

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Aviles where 11th ranked ADBA (5-13) was defeated by twelfth ranked Ascensores Tresa (5-13) 66-61 on Saturday. ADBA trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 16-4 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 61-66 at the end of the game. They outrebounded ADBA 44-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Argentinian Isabella Sangali who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Laura Chahrour (172-95, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 6 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Sierra Moore (180-94, college: Penn St.) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Raquel Navarro-Martinez (183-97) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Ascensores Tresa moved-up to eleventh place in Group A, which they share with defeated ADBA. Ascensores Tresa will face higher ranked Barca CBS (#4) in Barcelona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
