Regular Season Round 21: RAC Basket - Chartres 87-73

There was no surprise when 5th ranked UB Chartres (12-9) was defeated on the road by third ranked Rueil (16-5) 87-73 on Saturday. Rueil looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by UB Chartres' players. The best player for the winners was forward Karim Gourari (204-89) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Rueil and four UB Chartres players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Rueil. They maintain third place with 16-5 record having just three points less than leader Saint Vallier. Loser UB Chartres keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Rueil will face Lorient (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UB Chartres will play against the league's leader Saint Vallier (#1) and hope to win that game.
