An interesting game took place in Buenos Aires, where higher ranked Ferrocarril (7-9) lost at home to nineteenth ranked Comunicaciones (5-11) 74-88. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Curtis Withers (203-84, college: Charlotte, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Dawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89) came up with 17 points and 5 assists and center Jose-Ignacio Alessio (203-87) added 14 points respectively for Ferrocarril in the defeat. Ferrocarril's coach Ariel Rearte rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Comunicaciones moved-up to eighteenth place. Ferrocarril lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Comunicaciones' next round opponent will be higher ranked Obras Basket (#6) in Buenos Aires and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
