Regular Season Round 20: GTK Gliwice - Legia 94-101

Bottom-ranked Legia managed to get a second victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time newly promoted Legia won against thirteenth-ranked GTK in Gliwice 101-94. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of GTK. The winners were led by American guard Anthony Beane (188-94, college: S.Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 41 points (!!!) and 5 assists and point guard Lukasz Wilczek (190-86) supported him with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a triple-double of 20 points, 13 rebounds and 16 assists by American point guard Quinton Hooker (183, college: N.Dakota) did not help to save the game for GTK. His fellow American import center Maverick Morgan (208-94, college: Illinois) added 14 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GTK's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Legia maintains seventeenth position with 2-21 record. GTK at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. Legia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GTK will play against Asseco (#9) and hope to secure a win.
