Regular Season Round 16: KFUM Uppsala - Akropol 77-51

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Akropol's (2-12) road loss to tenth ranked KFUM Uppsala (4-11) 51-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Uppsala. Akropol was better in second period 12-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Uppsala forced 20 Akropol turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Samuel-Eliasson Godonou (185-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Alan Zekovic (195-98, agency: Interperformances) who added 24 points during the contest. Four KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Simon Tewelde (180-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Baba Dibba (183-97) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. KFUM Uppsala moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Sundsvall. Akropol lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face higher ranked KFUM Central (#8) in Stockholm in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Akropol will play at home against AIK II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
