Regular Season Round 24: Yokohama BC - Shimane SM 80-68

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Yokohama BC (11-25) defeated at home 6th ranked Shimane Magic (7-29) 80-68 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) who added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds and swingman Takuya Soma (181-91) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Yokohama BC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Shimane Magic lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with 29 games lost. Yokohama BC will face San-en NeoPhoenix (#4) in Hamamatsu in the next round. Shimane Magic will play on the road against Tochigi Brex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
