Very expected game when 13th ranked Varese Robur (6-16) lost on the road to sixth ranked Valsesia (13-9) 76-59 on Sunday. Valsesia made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Valsesia outrebounded Varese Robur 36-24 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Varese Robur's players. Varese Robur was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for guard Nicolo Gatti (196-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Mattia Magrini (190-93) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Valsesia players scored in double figures. Point guard Marco Santambrogio (188-88) replied with 14 points and point guard Giacomo Bloise (179-90) added 14 points in the effort for Varese Robur. Loser Varese Robur dropped to the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Valsesia will face LTC Sangiorg. (#7) in San Giorgio in the next round.
