Regular Season Round 37: Bambitious Nara - Hiroshima D. 93-84

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Dragonflies (18-18) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Bambitious Nara (8-28) 93-84 on Sunday. Bambitious Nara had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) scored 15 points. Dragonflies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bambitious Nara maintains sixth place with 8-28 record. Loser Dragonflies keep the fourth position with 18 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face higher ranked Kanazawa Sam. (#3) in Ishikawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dragonflies will play at home against the league's leader Gunma and hope to win that game.
