The game in Carlow supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked DCU Mercy (9-3) played at the court of 8th ranked IT Carlow (2-10). DCU Mercy smashed IT Carlow 86-61 on Sunday. DCU Mercy dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to IT Carlow's 30. They outrebounded IT Carlow 44-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. DCU Mercy will meet Brunell (#5) in the next round. IT Carlow will play against P.Panthers in Portlaoise and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
