Very predictable result when first ranked Omegna (20-2) rolled over on the road 15th ranked Moncalieri (3-19) 89-57 on Sunday. Omegna dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Moncalieri's 22. They outrebounded Moncalieri 46-28 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Omegna looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for Francesco Fratto (199-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Nicolo Benedusi (193-88, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Omegna players scored in double figures. Naturalized Nigerian power forward Emmanuel Enihe (198-98, agency: Players Group) replied with 23 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Fabio Delvecchio (194-94) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Moncalieri. Moncalieri's coach Marco Spanu gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Omegna maintains first position in B with 20-2 record, which they share with Cento. Loser Moncalieri keeps the fifteenth place with 19 games lost. Omegna will face Montecatiniterme (#5) at home in the next round.
