Very important is a road loss of third ranked Leganes (13-5) against eighth ranked Magec Tias (8-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Leganes was defeated by Magec Tias in Las Palmas 64-48. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leganes. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Magec Tias's pressure prevailed and they won that period 17-7 extending their advantage to 16 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Leganes to just 7 points in fourth quarter. It was a good game for American guard Keira Robinson (173, college: VCU) who led her team to a victory with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Argentinian power forward Ornella Santana (183-90) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kiara Kudron (188, college: Gonzaga) replied with 16 points and Canadian guard Mariah Nunes (178-93, college: Ryerson) added 7 points in the effort for Leganes. Newly promoted Magec Tias maintains eighth position in Group B with 8-10 record. Leganes at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Adelantados. Magec Tias will play against Promete (#11) in Logrono in the next round. Leganes will play at home against Almeria (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
