Regular Season Round 19: Le Mans - Limoges 53-69

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Le Mans (3-16) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Limoges (12-7) 69-53 on Sunday. Limoges forced 22 Le Mans turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for DR Congolese center Merveille Muninga (211-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Naturalized Burundian center Timothee Bazille (202-99) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side guard Mathieu Nzita (185-99) responded with 10 points and 8 assists and guard Kenny Baptiste (192-0) scored 10 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Limoges. They maintain fourth place with 12-7 record, which they share with Gravelines. Le Mans lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Limoges will meet at home CCRB Pro (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Le Mans will play against ES Chalonnais (#7) and hope to secure a win.
