Leading Monaco (14-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (10-10) 101-94. Monaco was ahead by 12 points after three quarters before a 35-16 charge of Gravelines-Dunkerque, which allowed them to win the game. They shot 63.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Gravelines-Dunkerque players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Monaco was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American Chris Johnson (198-90, college: Dayton) who scored that evening 28 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard J.R. American swingman Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) added 23 points for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Dijon. Monaco at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Le Mans and Strasbourg. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Cholet Basket (#10) at home in the next round. Monaco will play against Le Portel (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
