Regular Season Round 22: Faenza - Lecco 68-71

Another exciting game for Lecco (15-7) which played on the court of Faenza (14-8). Fourth ranked Lecco eked out just a narrow 3-points road win over Faenza 71-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Faenza. They outrebounded Faenza 40-22 including 30 on the defensive glass. Power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (204-93, agency: Interperformances) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Alberto Cacace (198-96) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Mattia Venucci (188-90) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Marco Perin (185-93) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Lecco have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in B with 15-7 record. Faenza at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Vicenza. Lecco will play against Reggio Emilia (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Padova (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
