The game in Tallinn was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Valga (11-9) played at the court of 7th ranked TTU (3-14). Valga managed to secure a 7-point victory 88-81 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TTU won third quarter 26-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard Edgars Lasenbergs (189-95) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. Latvian power forward Maris Ziedins (203-90) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Valga's coach Kristaps Zeids used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International Sten Olmre (192-95, agency: Players Group) produced 23 points and power forward Matthias Tass (208-99) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five TTU players scored in double figures. Valga maintains fourth place with 11-9 record. Loser TTU keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Valga will face league's second-placed Tartu Ulikool at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TTU will play against Parnu (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
