Regular Season Round 22: Giulianova - Recanati 52-90

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Recanati (15-7) crushed on the road 12th ranked Giulianova (10-12) 90-52 on Sunday. Recanati shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Quite impressive performance for guard Vincenzo Di Viccaro (192-84) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. The former international point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Recanati players scored in double figures. Center Daniele Tomasello (203-93) replied with 8 points and 17 rebounds and Nicola Bastone (196-92) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Giulianova. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Recanati maintains second position in B with 15-7 record having five points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Lecco. Loser Giulianova dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Recanati will face Porto S.Elpidio (#4) at home in the next round. Giulianova will play against the league's leader San Severo (#1) and hope to win that game.
