Regular Season Round 22: Salerno - Roma Tiber 82-65

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Salerno (16-5) beat at home 9th ranked Roma Tiber (9-12) 82-65 on Sunday. They outrebounded Roma Tiber 43-28 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Salerno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Quite impressive performance for forward Gianmarco Leggio (202-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Marco Cucco (189-94, agency: Players Group) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Salerno's coach Antonio Paternoster used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Andrea Valentini (199-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Matteo Santucci (193-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 19 points in the effort for Roma Tiber. Four Roma Tiber players scored in double figures. Salerno moved-up to third place in B. Roma Tiber at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Salerno will face Roma Luiss (#6) on the road in the next round. Roma Tiber will play against Battipaglia (#15) and hope to win that game.
