LigaA top team - San Lorenzo (16-1) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Ferrocarril (7-10) in Buenos Aires 85-70. San Lorenzo had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by international forward Gabriel Deck (199-95) who scored that evening 31 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) supported him with 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by American Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) did not help to save the game for Ferrocarril. The former international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89) added 10 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San Lorenzo have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-1 record. Ferrocarril lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost. San Lorenzo will meet at home Boca Juniors (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ferrocarril will have a break next round.
