The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Maccabi Rehovot (14-4) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Maccabi Raanana (10-8) 80-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Rehovot. It was a good game for American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import forward Wayne Langston (201-93, college: Murray St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward AlLonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Gur Porat (197-79) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Rehovot. Maccabi Raanana have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Maccabi Rehovot at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Maccabi Raanana are looking forward to face Maccabi K/M (#11) in Kiryat Motzkin in the next round where they are favorite. Maccabi Rehovot will play at home against Hapoel B/S (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
