No shocking result in a game when second ranked Olympiacos (12-4) crushed bottom-ranked Aiolos Trikallon (3-13) in Trikala 98-73. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Aiolos Trikallon's 26. They outrebounded Aiolos Trikallon 51-24 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Olympiacos players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Aiolos Trikallon's players. Serbian center Nikola Milutinov (212-94) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international Georgios Printezis (204-85, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Olympiacos players scored in double figures. Olympiacos' coach Giannis Sfairopoulos felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Xavier Thames (191-91, college: San Diego St.) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Olympiacos maintains second position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader Panathinaikos. Aiolos Trikallon lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Olympiacos' next round opponent will be Aris (#11) in Thessaloniki and are hoping to win another game. Aiolos Trikallon will play on the road against PAOK in Thessaloniki and hope to win that game.
