Very expected game when 13th ranked Panionios (3-13) lost to fifth ranked Promitheas (10-6) in Patras 58-69. The game without a history. Promitheas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Senegalese forward Mouhammad Faye (208-85, college: SMU) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American point guard Langston Hall (193-91, college: Mercer) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international center Zisis Sarikopoulos (212-90, college: Ohio St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Vagel Sakellariou (195-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Promitheas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with AEK and Lavrio. Newly promoted Panionios keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Promitheas' next round opponent will be league's leader Panathinaikos in Athens and it will be for sure the game of the week. Panionios will play at home against Koroivos (#10) and hope to win that game.
