Regular Season Round 24: Estudio - Estudiantes B 56-70

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Estudiantes B (10-10) beat 11th ranked Estudio (7-14) in Madrid 70-56 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-56. It was a good game for Lithuanian guard Dovydas Giedraitis (190-0) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Chilean guard Ignacio Arroyo (185-0) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Gabriel Rodriguez (198) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and Uruguayan center Rogelio De-Leon (208-89) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Estudio. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estudiantes B moved-up to eighth place in Group B. Newly promoted Estudio dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Estudiantes B will face Teguise (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Estudio will play against Tenerife Naut. (#6) and hope to win that game.
