Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Benahavis (8-9) beat at home bottom-ranked Sevilla 2 (4-13) 63-49 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Sevilla 2 45-28 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Senegalese forward Serigne Sow (202-94) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. American Willie Williams (-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Four Benahavis players scored in double figures. Luxembourg center Lou Demuth (212-0) produced 8 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and A Da-Silva added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Sevilla 2's coach gave the chance to play for twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Benahavis moved-up to fourth place in Group D-B, which they share with Cordobasket and Jaguarzo Adepla. Sevilla 2 lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Benahavis will face higher ranked Huelva (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sevilla 2 will play against San Fernando (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
