Regular Season Round 24: Slask Wroclaw - Pogon Prudnik 98-100

A very close game took place in Wroclaw between Pogon Prudnik and Slask. Fourteenth ranked Pogon Prudnik (8-15) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Slask (9-14). Pogon Prudnik managed to escape with a 2-point win 100-98 on Wednesday evening. Pogon Prudnik made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Pogon Prudnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89, agency: Promotex) who recorded 26 points and point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94, college: Canisius) added 23 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Pogon Prudnik and five Slask players scored in double figures. Slask's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to thirteenth place. Newly promoted Slask dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Pogon Prudnik will meet at home higher ranked Enea Astoria (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Slask will play against Kotwica in Kolobrzeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
