Regular Season Round 20: B.Cearense - Paulistano 60-81

NBB top team - Paulistano (18-3) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed tenth ranked SKY/Basquete (8-11) in Aldeota 81-60. Paulistano shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international Jhonatan Luz-dos-Santos (196-87) who scored 25 points (perfect from downtown making all eight shots !!!). Bahamas forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Felipe Ribeiro (201-79) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paulistano have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-3 record. SKY/Basquete lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Paulistano will meet Universo/Vitoria (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. SKY/Basquete will play against Campo Mourao (#14) and hope to secure a win.
