There was an upset in Parana where higher ranked BHY Tiro Federal (15-13) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Echague (11-15) 68-58 on Friday. Echague dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to BHY Tiro Federal's 20 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Echague looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Lisandro Ruiz-Moreno (183-89) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Jamell Cornley (196-87, college: Penn St.) chipped in 15 points.
