The game in Pasig was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Hotshots (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Globalport (4-5). Hotshots defeated Globalport 96-81. Hotshots forced 21 Globalport turnovers. Naturalized American guard Justin Melton (180-87, college: Mount Olive) stepped up and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and swingman Rome dela-Rosa (191-90) chipped in 18 points. The best for the losing side was center Kelly Nabong (201-88) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized American forward Sean Anthony (193-86) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Hotshots and four Globalport players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hotshots maintains second place with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader SM Beermen. Globalport at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Phoenix. Hotshots will play against Meralco Bolts (#10) in Manila in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Globalport will play on the road against KIA Picanto in Makati City and hopes to get back on the winning track.
