There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Souffelweyersheim (9-13) won against on the road higher ranked Saint-Quentin (15-7) 87-79 on Friday. It was a very good performance for American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Valentin Correia (192-93) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. American swingman Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) replied with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Desmond Quincy-Jones (201-85, college: Pace) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Souffelweyersheim maintains thirteenth position with 9-13 record. Loser Saint-Quentin keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Souffelweyersheim will face higher ranked ALS Basket (#7) in Andrezieux in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Saint-Quentin will play on the road against La Charite and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
