International power forward Nick Kay (206-92, college: Metro St.) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Illawarra Hawks players scored in double figures. New Zealand forward Finn Delany (198-95, college: SW Baptist) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds and New Zealand guard Shea Ili (184-92) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for New Zealand Breakers. New Zealand Breakers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Illawarra Hawks moved-up to fifth place. New Zealand Breakers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 13 games lost.
