An exciting game was played in Luxembourg. Contern faced T.Hesperange. Host Contern (7-14) smashed guests from Hesperange (12-9) 100-69. Contern shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. The game was also dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Xavier Ford (201-93, college: Buffalo) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Guard Jaylen Bland (190-93, college: Cal-Riverside) accounted for 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Pierce Cumpstone (203-94, college: Stonehill) came up with 28 points and 9 rebounds and guard Prince Foster (193, college: Angelo St.) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for T.Hesperange in the defeat. T.Hesperange's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Contern's next round opponent will be Kordall Steelers in Rodange and it will be for sure the game of the week. T.Hesperange will play at home against Arantia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
