Regular Season Round 25: Kotwica - Slask Wroclaw 77-82

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Kolobrzeg where twelfth ranked Slask (10-14) defeated 11th ranked Kotwica (9-14) 82-77 on Saturday. They outrebounded Kotwica 45-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94, college: Canisius) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 assists for the winners and power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 17 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side Szymon Rduch (196-89, agency: Promotex) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and Patryk Przyborowski (195-90, agency: Promotex) scored 16 points. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Kotwica's coach Pawel Blechacz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Slask moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Siarka. Loser Kotwica dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Slask will meet at home higher ranked Biofarm PZN (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kotwica will play against Enea Astoria in Bydgoszcz and hope to secure a win.
