Regular Season Round 25: Shiga L-Stars - Osaka Evessa 80-91

Another exciting game was between third ranked Osaka Evessa and 4th placed Shiga L-Stars where Osaka Evessa (13-25) beat Shiga L-Stars (12-26) on the road 91-80. Osaka Evessa forced 19 Shiga L-Stars turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. His fellow American import forward David Wear (208-90, college: UCLA) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Center Samba Faye (205-87) answered with 24 points and Australian forward Venky Jois (202-93, college: E.Washington) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka Evessa maintains third place with 13-25 record having sixteen points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Shiga L-Stars lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 26 games lost. Osaka Evessa will play against league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shiga L-Stars will play at home against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses and hope to get back on the winning track.
