Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (8-9) was outscored on the road by second ranked Marbella (13-5) 84-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Marbella led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Unicaja-Andalucia's 30. They outrebounded Unicaja-Andalucia 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American center Evan Maxwell (203, college: Dowling) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. The former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Marbella players scored in double figures. Power forward Ignacio Rosa (206-99) replied with 16 points and guard Lucas Munoz (182-1) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Unicaja-Andalucia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Marbella maintains second position in Group D-A with 13-5 record having just two points less than leader Vic. Loser Unicaja-Andalucia keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
