Regular Season Round 23: AZS PCz - Lubin 79-68

No shocking result in a game in Czestochowa where tenth ranked AZS PCz (10-13) won against 14th ranked Lubin (3-20) 79-68 on Saturday. They outrebounded Lubin 40-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. AZS PCz looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Mateusz Gos (186-94) helped adding 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. AZS PCz's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Forward Damian Szablewski (191-91) responded with 26 points and 5 assists and center Damian Dwornik (203-90) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lubin players scored in double figures. AZS PCz moved-up to eighth place in Group D, which they share with Rawia. Lubin lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. AZS PCz will face Gimbasket WRC (#10) in Wroclaw in the next round. Lubin will play at home against Otmuchow (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
