Regular Season Round 38: Shinshu BW - Toyotsu FE 67-79

Rather predictable result in Nagano where second ranked Toyotsu FE (23-14) beat 5th ranked Shinshu BW (16-20) 79-67 on Saturday. Shinshu BW was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Shohei Kozu (191-87) who scored 15 points. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 6 points and 11 rebounds. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyotsu FE used an opportunity after Gunma lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the fifth place with 20 games lost. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play again at home against the league's second-placed Toyotsu FE (#2) and hope to win that game.
