Rather expected game in Dublin where 8th ranked Belfast Star (8-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Templeogue (13-5) 74-70. Templeogue brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. The former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks. International point guard Stephen James (182-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Templeogue players scored in double figures. The former international guard Aidan Quinn (185-95, college: Mayville St.) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Keelan Cairns (211-92, college: Pennsylvania) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Belfast Star. Templeogue have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Killester and Swords Thunder. Belfast Star at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Templeogue's next round opponent will be Moycullen (#7) in Galway. Belfast Star will play at home against the league's leader UCD Marian and hope to win that game.
