Regular Season Round 38: Cyberdyne IR - Fukuoka Rizing 85-80

Top ranked Fukuoka Rizing (29-8) recorded its eighth loss in Tsukuba on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (18-18) 85-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. Cyberdyne IR looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Cyberdyne IR's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds and forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) added 23 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Cyberdyne IR moved-up to third place, which they share with Kanazawa Sam. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing still keeps top position with eight games lost. Cyberdyne IR is again looking forward to face league's leader Fukuoka Rizing at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round.
