There was no surprise when 15th ranked Bolzano (5-16) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Costa Masnaga (17-3) 70-47. Costa Masnaga forced 23 Bolzano turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Point guard Beatrice Del Pero (180-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Camille Mahlknecht (190-93, college: CS Northridge) contributed with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners. Croatian power forward Ivona Matic (189-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Chiara Villarini (186-96) added 5 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bolzano. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Costa Masnaga maintains second position in A2 with 17-3 record having just one point less than leader Sesto SG. Bolzano at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 16 games lost.
