Regular Season Round 23: Nowa Sol - Gimbasket WRC 57-65

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Gimbasket WRC (9-13) beat on the road 9th ranked Nowa Sol (9-14) 65-57 on Saturday. Gimbasket WRC forced 20 Nowa Sol turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Michal Kamberski (188-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Luka Malachow (184-94) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Artur Cielma responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Jakub Der (192-96, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Nowa Sol's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gimbasket WRC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to tenth place in Group D. Loser Nowa Sol dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Gimbasket WRC will face higher ranked AZS PCz (#8) in Czestochowa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nowa Sol will play on the road against the league's second-placed Slask 2 Wroclaw and will have a slim chance for a victory.
