Regular Season Round 23: Hutnik W-wa - Syntex Ksiezak 82-85

Sixth-ranked Hutnik W-wa (11-10) gave a tough game to first ranked Syntex Ksiezak (17-4) in Warszawa on Saturday. The visitors from Lowicz managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hutnik W-wa. Syntex Ksiezak had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Damian Tokarski (193-88) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Roman Janik (187-95) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Wojciech Dulnik (188-92) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Syntex Ksiezak maintains first place in Group B with 17-4 record. Newly promoted Hutnik W-wa dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Syntex Ksiezak are looking forward to face Dziki Wwa (#11) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hutnik W-wa will play on the road against AZS UMCS Lbn (#4) in Lublin and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
