Regular Season Round 19: Lima-Horta - RC Celta 51-77

LF2 top team - Real Celta Vigo (16-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Lima-Horta (8-11) in Barcelona 77-51. The game was mostly controlled by Real Celta Vigo. Lima-Horta was better in second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lima-Horta to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Real Celta Vigo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lima-Horta's 24. Real Celta Vigo forced 20 Lima-Horta turnovers. Lima-Horta was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Patricia Vicente helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Real Celta Vigo players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Laura Lopez (171-85) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Montse Pujolreu scored 6 points and 13 rebounds. Lima-Horta's coach Isaac Fernandez gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Real Celta Vigo maintains first place in Group A with 16-3 record. Lima-Horta lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Real Celta Vigo will play against league's second-placed GDKO Bizkaia in Galdakao in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lima-Horta will play on the road against Maquinaria Ensino (#4) in Lugo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
