Very important is a road loss of CTO (1-2) against Royal Eagles (1-2) on Saturday night. Visiting CTO was defeated by Royal Eagles in Apeldoorn 74-62. Royal Eagles forced 25 CTO turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Laura Westerik (176-98) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Anne van-Vlijmen (170-99) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Royal Eagles' coach Joost van Rangelrooy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Evelien Lutje (183-0) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Julia Jorritsma (182-99) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for CTO in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Royal Eagles will again play against CTO (#3) in Amsterdam in the next round, which may be the game of the day. CTO will have a break next round.
