Regular Season Round 22: Latina Basket - Eurobasket Roma 68-70

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Eurobasket Roma (10-12) edged on the road 9th ranked Latina Basket (10-12) 70-68 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. The other American import point guard Michael Deloach (184-86, college: Norfolk St.) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Eurobasket Roma's coach Andrea Turchetto allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Marco Lagana (197-93) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Latina Basket. Four Latina Basket players scored in double figures. Eurobasket Roma moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Eurobasket Roma will face higher ranked Viola RC (#7) in Reggio Calabria in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
