Regular Season Round 24: Centrum - Fyllingen BBK 99-110

Very expected game when 10th ranked Centrum (1-25) lost to third ranked Fyllingen BBK (16-10) in Oslo 99-110. The game was mostly controlled by Fyllingen BBK. Centrum was better in fourth quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fyllingen BBK well out of reach of Centrum shooting 73.5 percent from the field and made 103-of-115 charity shots (89.6 percent) during the game, while Centrum only scored seventeen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Centrum 133-31 including a 52-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Fyllingen BBK shot the lights out from three nailing 39 long-distance shots on high 72.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Centrum's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 112 blocks. Centrum was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds and Serbian guard Ognjen Nisavic (195-92) who added 35 points (!!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Johan Flaa (183-99) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Five Fyllingen BBK and four Centrum players scored in double figures. Centrum's coach Inge-Aleksander Kristiansen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fyllingen BBK have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fyllingen BBK maintains third position with 16-10 record having seven points less than leader Asker Aliens. Centrum lost sixteenth consecutive game. Defending champion stay dead last with 25 lost games. Fyllingen BBK will play against league's second-placed Kongsberg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Centrum's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oslo Ammerud Bskt.
