There was an upset when higher ranked Rivas (10-11) lost to thirteenth ranked Casvi (6-15) in Villaviciosa 72-79 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 29-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Casvi shot 69.0 percent from the field. Casvi outrebounded Rivas 33-19 including a 27-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Casvi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Casvi made 8 blocks. It was a good game for Alfonso Ortiz (190-99) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds.
