Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Isernia (2-21) was rolled over on the road by seventh ranked Roma S.Azzurra (12-8) 93-56 on Saturday. Roma S.Azzurra dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Isernia's 18 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Isernia 47-24 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Giovanni Corbinelli (180-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Maltese center Kurt Cassar (209-99) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Roma S.Azzurra players scored in double figures. Point guard Andrea Murolo (179-96) responded with 9 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Domenico Antonicelli (186-97) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Roma S.Azzurra maintains seventh place in B with 12-8 record. Loser Isernia keeps the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Roma S.Azzurra will face higher ranked Valmontone (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Isernia will play against Capo d'Orlando (#11) and hope to win that game.
