Regular Season Round 19: Otsuka A. - Toyoda Gosei 85-74

An interesting game for Otsuka A. (20-6) which hosted in Tokyo 4th placed Toyoda Gosei (15-11). Second ranked Otsuka A. managed to get a 11-point victory 85-74. Otsuka A. had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). Forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) helped adding 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Otsuka A. players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and center Matthew Kendrick (215-90, college: St.Leo) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Otsuka A.. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tokyo HT. Toyoda Gosei at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Otsuka A. will play against Aisin AW (#7) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Toyoda Gosei will play at home against Tokyo Excel. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
