Regular Season Round 21: Cactus Tbilisi - Batumi 70-61

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Batumi (9-10) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Cactus Tbilisi (11-8) 70-61 on Saturday. Batumi was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-10 charge of Cactus Tbilisi, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cactus Tbilisi made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center John Mitchell (206, college: Virginia Union) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Chris Johnson (190-91, college: St.Catharine) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian center Stefan Andrejevic (206-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds and American point guard Eric Childress (183-94, college: UCSB) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Four Batumi players scored in double figures. Cactus Tbilisi maintains fourth place with 11-8 record, which they share with Olimpi. Batumi lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost.
