Regular Season Round 19: 36ers - Bullets 105-82

No shocking result in a game in Findon where second ranked Adelaide 36ers (18-10) smashed bottom-ranked Bullets (9-19) 105-82 on Saturday. Adelaide 36ers dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Bullets' 44 and made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Bullets 46-29 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Adelaide 36ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Bullets were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Josh Childress (203-83, college: Stanford) fired 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International swingman Mitch Creek (195-92) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. American point guard Travis Trice (183-93, college: Michigan St.) produced 20 points and the former international power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Adelaide 36ers. They maintain second place with 18-10 record having just two points less than leader United. Bullets lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost.
